Dubai Airports’ commercial revenues rose 16 per cent on year in the first half of 2012, boosted by a surge in passenger traffic, according to the company’s top executive. “We are ahead of the budget in terms of revenues, which are exceeding expectations,” Paul Griffiths, the chief executive at Dubai Airports, told reporters late Sunday, but declined to give further details.

IndiGo launches Dubai-Hyderabad daily flight
IndiGo Airlines Tuesday launched its new daily Dubai-Hyderabad flight with an Airbus-320 aircraft. The first flight landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) from Dubai at 11.05 a.m. and received a traditional water canon salute welcome at the airport in the presence of RGIA and IndiGo Airlines officials.
