The operator of airports in Dubai on Tuesday said all passengers will be banned from carrying Samsung Galaxy Note 7s on any airline flying from the emirate.
The move by Dubai Airports, announced in a tweet by Dubai Media Office, follows the latest reports of the devices catching fire amid concerns over battery faults.
No further details on the ban were given but the decision follows reports earlier this week that Samsung will stop manufacturing Note 7s.
Last month, the UAE’s aviation regulator also banned the use of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 aboard flights operated by national airlines. More info
